i really enjoyed my day

despite a busy, tiring monday blue day at work.
FREAK BUSY. i oso dunno why.

TEEN...
all these while during work,
servings, anything lah.

i just tell myself.. EH i'm just only a TEEN
haven't even reach 20
and im forced to hold responsible about certain things
why can't i just enjoy it.

yea right.. EXCUSES..
and now or rather very soon..
NO MORE EXCUSES.

No more happy go lucky lifestyle
I need to learn to be more serious about certain things
especially during work. yupz.

super busy today
but thank God i got my preceptor helping me out
she didnt leave me there to die.

talking about dying...
past two months there's alot of deaths
but i didnt take care of those patients before.
when i see death in the ward,
to me it's like.. normal.. nothing.

today.. my patient deriorate suddenly after CT scan
in the morning she was eating, she was all well, all fine
then suddenly like3-4hrs later
she just started gasping for air, and getting drowsy
but she's still able to talk, able to see...
there and then, her relatives all came to the ward, with streaks of free flow tears on their faces

at that point of time..
i just felt normal still, because it's expected as patient on dangerously ill list
when the palliative registrar came and talk to the family,
from far, i saw the relatives started hugging each other and cry hard (like those shown on tvs)
my sister went over to comfort the relatives while i get tissues
the atmosphere was really sad
but i feel the same.

i tot im becoming heartless..
then later i asked sister what did the Dr told the relatives
she said the Dr said there's no hope anymore. seriously it's expected answer

but after hearing from sister saying that
my nose became funny
like i'm going to be part of the grieving group

i'm not heartless afterall.
perhaps because i nurse her for 1 day only
that's why.

will i cry if Tay Y.L pass away?

yay! i finally meet my poly girls =))
it's like so long no see lah!

watched transformers with them
not bad lah the movie quite funny haha
but huiru said that the first transformer is nicer.

i felt blessed at work
after listening to some of their stories..
all having hard time @ work.

some hide in toilet and cry
some pissed and angry with themselves
some felt wei qu
some having stress then will dream of work

football is quite exciting sia.. esp if u watch it LIVE.
can hear them(coach and players) screaming shouting away
in different languages and they sound like.. hahaha...
they are going to kill each other. damn fierce.

i realised that ICE PACK is like the best medicine for sports injury
the players had head to head injuries, leg to butts, leg to chest,
then just roll on the ground a while and do a less than 1 min cold compress..
and they can continue to kick that ball again.

tough flesh, tough muscles.

as for the medical team..
the Dr (some indian guy) quite anti social..
then there's this SGH A&E guy(nurse)
he's with the Dr.. cuz the Dr keep calling him
and for me.. i'm with the ambulance staffs
poor A&E nurse. can see his bored face with that Dr
while the ambulance staffs were pretty funny and nice.
at least i'm well-entertained during my boring duty.

5 km jog after work with her was indeed fun!
but tiring sia...

I thank God for her.
because she's the only one (friend) whom i quarrelled with
and that makes our friendship (to me) special.

let's just jiayou together
esp next year! pull through Uni together!!

nway went Haraini's hse for a mini gathering of the missys..
her boy hyder is damn cute sia! ahhaha

really tedious manz.. to cycle from ECP all the way to Changi Beach
then cycle all the way back.. roughly about 25+km
tiring sia!
but at least we exercised, and we enjoy ourselves ALOT!

after that i went palm garden to swim..
supposed to be with von, veline, vette
but end up von only..
oh wells.. it's fun anyway! hahah finally swim again ^^
then then.. went to taka.. quite impromtu but yea..
buy sports shoes... cuz i got vouchers heheh!
awwww GSS sale all around.. but no money can't shop =(

tmr will be another fun filled day!

i got SO MANY FRIENDS birthday today.
so scary sia.

went jogging with vivian after work today
jogged to BPP,
bought choc exotic from four leaves,
a dress and many many kinder breunos

just living my life day by day...
in a very fast pace.

This week's induction programme
i heard alot of sad stories about people in the community..
being sick, can't afford healthcare
and the things they do.. they living conditions.. etc.

it's really.. sad
now i know when people say they want to die
they really meant it
and the reason behind it..
really sad.

the stress that patient faced
the stress that family members will face
and frankly speaking when these people die,
it can be a great relieve for the family members
but very very painful.

as a nurse
the most i can do
is to identify their needs and refer them to other professionals
and make their stay in the hospital a pleasant one.

gabby wants to work with a heart of empathy.

of my neighbours' cats and dogs
buay ta han.. cuz it sounded eerie.

ever since i started working..
i didnt really enjoy the way im living right now
it's like..

having rest day on a weekday where can only rest at home
and no one to jio out in the noon...
work for so many days then a day off
like work eat sleep, work eat sleep...
summore when working on weekends..
can't spend time with my family, church people, friends..
can be quite emotionally draining
cuz can't really meet up with friends for updates
and seriously missing the time spent with them
serving together etc.

but this week was really great..
spent time with von and vette on friday after work..
just walk around shopping centres and talk craps.

and today i really felt happy
after seeing some people from church..
doing av stuffs, chit chatting with some churchies,
spray paint the boxes, BALLGAMES!

gosh.. ballgames is like a recovery session for me
sweat all my fatigue out!
really had lots of fun playing badminton with the girls
now body aching sia~

yay!



sometimes, it's the feeling of happiness that's worth the wait.

5th patient of the month
passed away today...
thank God she's a christian
and i saw Pastor Lee K.P there

He asked me how's my work, do i like it..
and come to think of it
i enjoyed my work these days..
manageable. quite okay too.
between patients and colleauges.
thank God.

on a dimmer note,
something stupid happened....
on 12 may.. my dad dropped my friend at the bus stop near home..
then this tp standing there taking video..
and now my dad got summon for driving in bus lane
130 bucks.

finally had my driving practical lesson today
.. like after 1 month =\
and then my instructor assess me..
scored 43 points! and 2 immediate failure
SIAN!

then went to meet von and vianx at Lido
for Angel and Demon

NICE SHOW.

weekends in the ward was terribly dramatic.

4 collapses..
2 on sat morn shift, 2 on sun afternoon shift
all two hours apart.

1 DNR and the others not.
1 survived the rest did not.
